On the ancient Babylonian tablet IM 67118, dated 1770 BC, was found Pythagoras’ theorem, which was used to determine the length of the diagonal inside a rectangle. This occurred several centuries before Pythagoras was born: he was born around 570 BC.

Another tablet, dated around 1800-1600 BC, revealed a square with signed triangles inside, indicating that the ancient Babylonians were aware of Pythagoras’ theorem and other mathematical concepts.

In the region of Sohag, Egypt, an archaeological team has found many vessels with the remains of wine, the age of which reaches at least 5000 years. The unique discovery was made during work in Umm El Kaab: an international team of scientists from Germany, Austria and Egypt worked there. The sealed jars were located near the burial of the ruler of Merneit, who belonged to the I Dynasty.

The artifacts are still in good condition and contain the remains of a grape-based alcoholic beverage, presumably used for ritual purposes.

The find is an important evidence of the importance attached to wine by the inhabitants of ancient Egypt, including as an instrument of religious rituals.

The artifacts were located in the Cave of Bats. A total of 76 items were found there, which were immediately transferred to the collection of the National Archaeological Museum of Madrid.

Wicker baskets made 9.5 thousand years ago attracted increased attention. Next to them found sandals of the same age. Curious fact that only some of them were traces of wear, others were not used.

Experts analyzed 250 past studies and summarized their results. As it turned out, the greatest resilience was demonstrated by people who have such qualities as responsibility, politeness, emotional stability and openness.

Extroverts, who are characterized by activity and sociability, have more friends and acquaintances, thanks to which they can more easily cope with stressful conditions.

Emotional stability implies the ability to deal with negative emotions and stress with minimal health consequences. Responsible people prefer to plan their actions and avoid unpleasant situations, which helps to reduce stress.
